I don’t think I am capable of being one of the millions of overprotective parents in the United States.
Of course the sports mom might disagree, knowing that the last thing I would do is put my kid in harms way of any kind. I was thinking about all the times when I would tell my kid to NOT put his fingers in the blender when it was plugged in or to never stand to close to a bonfire because he could accidentally trip and fall in with the logs.

It all started 18 years ago, when my friend “Wales” a cheesehead from the Michigan Upper Pennisula told me,
“Man, it’s all about geography! You and I are the same guy except I grew up in God’s Country, and you grew up in South Dakota! It’s great that you cheer for the team that was closest to you when you grew up. That’s the NFL man, it’s just geography!”

Somewhere out there, in this season to be jolly, thankful and joyful, there is a new Christmas story waiting to be written. This time the Grinch will be a snow plow driver, and the hero will be some parent (mom or dad) with an aching back from shoveling too much snow.
The idea for the script all started this morning with a post from my little brother on his Facebook wall:
Dear Mr. Snowplow Driver: I don’t like you and I hope santa brings you a huge pile of steaming reindeer crap. Merry Christmas a-hole!
