In February 2011, Major League baseball sent out casting call for an innovative new experience. It was called the Ultimate Dream Job, requiring one baseball fanatic to literally watch every single baseball game for the entire season. With a well known passion for the game, writing skills, blogging experience and video background, I applied.
As of March 21, I have not heard back from them. Apparently I did not get the job. I have yet to hear back from the hiring manager. This will not preclude me from sharing my video & writing samples that were submitted during the application process. First off, here is my video:
I know, how could they NOT love this guy? (Kidding). There are a lot more videos like this on You Tube, with many very creative fans posting their submissions for this unique opportunity from Major League Baseball.
I have really enjoyed watching the submissions from the other applicants and encourage you to do so as well. Hopefully the person who is hired will be an awesome representative of the “stitch head” fan base. I look forward to watching the winner and reading their blog posts. You can bet that I will be linking to their work soon on this site!

Bruce. I would absolutely welcome your input to this site. Just send me your email and look for an invite. This site is on WordPress now (not Blogger). The lunch thing… I apologize, I never really had an opp to squeeze it in to the schedule. I think what we should do, is just meet at Target Field for a baseball game. Thoughts?
Marcus, that is super, and I would hire you right off! Good Luck, you very talented guy!!
Marcus,
Good Luck landing that “job”. Would be a sweet way to spend a summer/fall.
Personally I couldn’t think of a better guy in a better position to do that.
As I did once before, is there a way to publish a “guest” blog if I happen to write something here and there?
Hope things are well, you never called me for lunch.
