Randy Moss: Superbad Superfreak, Maybe on his way Home? 2
Jay Glazer and several NFL news sources are reporting a possible return of the Superfreak to Minneapolis. Personally, as I wrote on this blog last month, this would be a dream come true! It would whip this state into a Frenzy if it happens.
Here is why:
Source: Minneapolis Star & Tribune and Jay Glazer:
File this under stunning news. FOXsports.com’s Jay Glazer is reporting that the Vikings are close to finalizing a trade that would bring wide receiver Randy Moss back to Minnesota.
Glazer said the Vikings and Patriots are engaged in “serious trade talks” but the deal hinges on the Vikings working out a contract with Moss first. Here is Glazer’s story.
From ESPN: Joe Nathan might be out for Year? 0
Minnesota Twins reliever Joe Nathan has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his right elbow!
This might sound depressing, but that is huge hole for the Twins as they start what is supposed to be a World Series type year. But I actually think this means a great opportunity for Loek Van Mil- who certainly could eventually become the teams closer “SOMEDAY!”
The canidates to fill the role are on the roster righ now:
Matt Guerrier, Jon Rauch, Jose Mijares, and maybe even Pat Neshek? Who do you think will take the spot?
Pants on the Ground & on the Vikes Sidelines in Big Easy 1

My brother Just heard on the radio that the Vikes flew the ‘pants on the ground’ dude, General Larry Platt, to New Orleans and he will be on the Vikes sideline.
Also from OJ when hearing the news:
Saints on the ground, Saints on the ground, looking like fools cause the Vikes put ‘em down!!! Turf in your mouth helmet turned sideways thinking you could rule that looking like a fool. Walking around town with your heads hung down, WHO DAT?!?!?! Saints on the ground, Saints on the ground looking like a fool cause the VIKES PUT EM DOWN!
From American Idol Website:
General Larry Platt, a 62-year-old veteran from Georgia, has a song called Pants on the Ground (for people who won’t pull their pants up). He’s clearly out of the show’s age range, but the producers don’t want us to miss this. (And they shouldn’t. It turns out the General has a fascinating history that goes deep into the civil-rights movement.)
He’s hysterical, and Simon says, “I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit.”
Man dies after fight at Angel Stadium on opening day 0
This is sad, and just another reminder to ALL you sports fans out there: YOU DON’T PLAY THE GAME, YOU WATCH IT, YOU SHARE THE EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER FANS, and without a team to play against there would be no sports. RESPECT EACH OTHER’S DIFFERENCES, enjoy the game. It’s life, and it’s not worth taking over a sports game. C’mon…
ANAHEIM, Calif. — A man involved in a fight at Angel Stadium on opening day has died.
Police said Brian Powers, 27, of Buena Park, Calif., died Wednesday at a hospital. No arrests have been made.
Angels spokesman Tim Mead said the fight occurred Monday night shortly after the game between the Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics. Witnesses told police the man was fighting with someone when a third person came from behind and punched the victim in the head. The man fell and hit his head on a concrete step near a stairwell.
Police are unsure what led to the fight and who started it.
In his 2008 story about pre-game festivities for an NFL game. Brian Murphy immersed himself into our tailgate lot, telling us he wanted to write a positive story about Vikings and Packer fans in a long-standing border battle.
