Is grilling bananas the same as grilling frozen brats? Less than a year into my marriage, I discovered the answer.
The story is legendary with our extended families and close friends. I have to admit, it was embarrassing at first but years later, it’s downright humorous.
As a bachelor, I was a proud tailgater with grill skills limited to hamburger patties, brats and ball park hot dogs. When it came to serving them up in a bun, there was nobody better at squeezing plastic bottles of ketchup and mustard onto them. Life was good.

Getting back to the roots, tonight’s Sports Daddy post takes on the flavor of a Twins blog with a live picture or two from the Bulls-eye.
The Sports Mom was presented with one ticket in the Champions Club for this evening’s Twins win in extra innings. Yes, I was jealous. While I had the privilege of staying home with very spirited but loving sports kids, she had the sweet seats!

Practicing Math and Saving Money with 5, 6, 7, and 8. These two things are near and dear to my heart. The idea of saving money is really more about maximizing our money, particularly in light of the Sports Daddy’s job status change.
Our local Target was having a great deal. In spite of my views of the 5% penalty, the deal is a good one and worth the trip. It’s a buy any 7 frozen items and get a $5 gift card special. No limit to how many gift card or multiples of seven. Read more…

We have two sick little kids with a flu-bug this evening, and the work of a parent never stops. There are no practices or rehearsals, or game simulations or walk-thrus for parenting or life events. But there are good games to talk about and break down after they occur. Funny thing though, there is no press to write about them.
