Marketing Drugs, Markenacea- The pill to assist professionals cope 0

Posted on July 29, 2011 by Marcus "Mookie" Anderson

Marketing drugs should be easier to get. In my other job as professional social media, interactive strategist for a small Edina, MN based marketing company, we recently launched our first of many fun videos on You Tube.

In this one, our marketing team slapped  together a comical commercial for a drug called Markenacea. It is intended to show our fellow “brothers and sisters” in arms that we understand their stress. I did not have a hand in creating the video, but I have to admit, it’s a perfect way to some up many of the work day of events that I experience.

I love my job, but somedays I do wish there was a drug like this one to help with the stress.  Please share this with all your friends

Gossip US population is not qualified to have opinions. Bloggers beware 0

Religion gossip sermon christiansThe Onion, the Bible and pastors might all agree that gossip is inappropriate for US bloggers.

Yesterday in church, our pastor cited many passages from Proverbs with a strong message that gossip is NOT appropriate behavior for Christians. He has a point.  In fact I don’t think that gossip is a good idea for anyone. It’s just not a nice thing to do.

As he preached about the many moral reasons to not spread rumors and speculation, I kept thinking about all of the mass media in this country that profit Read more…

Reese Witherspoon wedding, a blog, and a beat from when the Sports Daddy met the Oscar winner 0

The recent news of Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon wedding again, reminds me of a time I met her on the set of Overnight Delivery.

I was able to share that story with the writer of the blog titled Johngy’s Beat- The People I Meet, Places I go and Things See” In today’s edition, you can read about my encounter with Witherspoon and Paul Rudd during the filming of that movie back in 1994.

I love that writers can find each other and share their blogs. It is one of my favorite things about blogging, and connecting on line. In the story at Johngy’s Beat, you will also read how The Sports Daddy met Gordon Lightfoot There is even a back stage picture of me with he singer of the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

I don’t often share celebrity encounters, but they are fun stories and make for good blog posts. I will try and recollect more details from these talesin the future, but for now go visit Johngy’s Beat and see all the interesting people that he meets on line. I really like his site. It’s chock full of autograph stories, scenes from Professional Wrestling, and lots of cool ballcards. I really dig his collection of celebrity cards who make appearances at ball parks. Surf away and enjoy.

A live sports photo contest from the Sports Daddy 3

Adrian Peterson injured by Packers in 2007

Too busy for a live sports photo contest? The Sports Daddy sure has been, with not blogging so much lately.

I have my reasons. I started a new job, and it has kept me pretty busy. Oh, and I am also coaching T-Ball and volunteering as our local hockey associations Director of Technology.

Wow, if that isn’t enough, I still have a full time job as a Daddy. That is a lot on the plate, but I love it. So while the Twins are struggling, and making their fans feel all sorts of flu symptoms watching them, I thought I’d try a neat little contest on my associated Facebook pages for THE SPORTS DADDY.

I love watching live sports, that is no secret, so I thought, why not have a contest for fans to share some of their favorite pictures from these contest? I can’t wait to see all the different kinds of photos that readers here, and beyond will upload. I even have a prize to present to the top vote getter.

It’s all in fun, so you feel like it please visit the contest page and upload away!
