Twins’ busy winter makes for spring buzz | twinsbaseball.com: News.

JJ Hardy, Orlando Hudson, Jim Thome and Clay Condrey will be joining the Twins this season.  The official Twins site touts this as “impressive buzz” about the team as it opens camp. I’ll take Joe Crede at third base please, then the buzz will be justified.

Personally, I think the Twins weakest link, biggest question mark will be pitching. Last year we were told that the staff was on the brink of breaking out.  Injuries and excuses were the Norm as the team suffered bad start after short start. They needed an established, proven, “innings eater” and struggled through the most of the season because they didn’t. Finally, Carl Pavano came over in a trade, and the next gear was found.

But can Twins fans really count on Pavano this year? Will Glen Perkins, Francisco Liriano, and Kevin Slowey bounce back?  I hope so for Target Field’s sake.
