It was 35 Years ago for me, and I still remember that first game like it was yesterday. It was December 18th, 1976 when the Vikings beat the Washington Redskins 35-20 in that Divisional Playoff Game at the Old Met Stadium.
I was what you’d call a serious Viking fanatic. Read more…

SKOL The Documentary premiered on Thursday, May 19 at the Height’s Theater in Columbia Heights, MN. There wasn’t any limos or red carpets, just plenty of purple clad fans wearing face paint and horns.

The disappointing 50th season in the NFL with all the hardships are covered, including the firing of Brad Childress, the return and release of Randy Moss, and the collapse of the Metrodome. On this day November 28, 1999, Jim Marshall was inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor at half-time of the Vikings 35-27 win over the San Diego Chargers. On October 25th, 1964 a younger Marshall , a member of the Purple People Eaters, took a fumble and ran it to the wrong end zone giving the San Francisco 49ers a safety. The Vikings would end up winning that game 27-22, but for Jim Marshall, it was loss that he hasn’t been able to overcome in getting into the NFL Hall of Fame.
