On December 1, 2004, I was invited to the Vikings practice. Well, I was indirectly invited, because no one at my place of employment was interested in accepting the invitation.
Just lke the 2010 season, the Vikings were in the middle of a rut, fan interest was low, and possible blackouts for home games were eminent. The Vikings organization, in order to procure sales for the next season to their corporate big money season ticket holders, sent out invitations Read on…

Unlike the 2010 season, where the Vikings were swept by the Green Bay Packers, 1998 was a great year. Back then the team a rookie Superfreak and a legendary quarterback and they were the ones doing the sweeping.
On November 22, 1998, the Vikings completed the sweep with a 28-14. Jimmy Hitchcock picked off Brett Favre in the first half and housed a TD. Later, Randall Cunningham threw a TD pass to rookie sensation Randy Moss to ice the game in the Metrodome. Things looked good for the Vikings, prompting this wonderful poem to be written by your’s truly. Don’t laugh, it’s pretty “Cheesy.” Read on…

I stumbled unto this really cool blog, with a story about losing Randy Moss. Titled a “Tale of Woe” it wasn by an author called “The Madman.” I agree with his unique perspective; an analogy of Moss being a kid’s favorite childhood toy. The toy was not taken away just once, but TWICE! The second time by a mean, klutzy Stepfather. I love this type of writing!
But articles like this are not all you get at this blog. There graphics, pie charts, data and even cool videos that all “nail” the mood of Vikings fans during this crappy NFL season of 2010. Here, for example is their video of how the whole Superfreak vs Chilli confrontation went down:

TheSportsdaddy’s kids sported a 6-8 mark in week 8, raising their overall record to 17-27. It’s not stellar, but they love doing the picks, and will continue to try and improve their record.
Halloween is the theme this week, as the kids don parts of their costumes from last Sunday, and share some of their candy from trick or treat eve. They comment on the Randy Moss situation in Minnesota (one does not like the cut, the other thinks it was a mistake to have ever brought him back at all) and they make some rather shocking upset picks.

I always will say, and believe that NFL players are not my friends. I don’t care about what they do off the field (as long as it ain’t illegal or harmful to society in a menacing way) because their sole job is to entertain us when they are on it.
Players to me, are like the gladiators of yore; fighting the wild lions, tigers, and bears on their Ben Hur chariots, using their swords, in a survive or die atmosphere. I don’t want them to be role models, Read on…
Ballcard of the Week Gettin the Super Freak back in purple remains a goal for some Vikings fans. We'd love to see him finish what he started for a 3rd time in purple.
