Auto Trader and the Minnesota Twins are sponsoring a contest to name the ultimate Twins Fan. I don’t ask for much, but I’d really like your help voting for my entry on their contest page. I would love to have the chance to throw the opening pitch at Twins game. It’s the dream of a lifetime for this Sportsdaddy. That’s my soul motivation to entering the contest. That plus, I’d like to see what all US president’s have felt like when they throw out a first pitch. All you have to do (and it’s not exactly the most user friendly schematic) is go to the contest page. Once there you will see a Photo Gallery
.
- Go to the bottom right of the Gallery page, and click until you find my entry. (As of today, September 7th, my entry is on the 39th click, and appears on the bottom left of the 3 window pane for that page. You may have to click further into the Gallery as time goes on) NOTE: THIS POSITION HAS CHANGED FROM 13th Click to 39th in just an hour, so your patience in clicking is appreciated!!!)
- Just click on that small pane picture, and my profile displays. Than vote like mad!!!
- Vote as many times as possible!!!
My entry looks like this:
Here is the essay I submitted: (100 words was the max) Born in ’65 & the Twins were Series bound. I moved to the TC in 1983 from SD, choosing a college close to the Metrodome so I could do homework in leftfield. I graduated in ’87 and spent my first real pay check on Game 6 & 7 tickets. My wedding in ’97: Twins theme, including a 7th inning stretch. I coach t-ball & co-host bball day with TC Bear at my kids day care every year. I crave TwinsFest! I attended Target Field’s First Opening Day. Favorite players: Hatcher, Hrbie, Thome and the Puck!

I am going to start posting things that my friends send to me via email. You know the type of email that people read and feel strong enough to forward? Anyway, I usually don’t FORWARD anything to anyone’s in box without feeling strong enough to render an opinion, so when I post these, I will try and share my opinions.
This one is obviously politically motivated, intended to send a message to the democratic party. I am not a “tea party” Republican by any means, but I do believe in the type of government that requires checks and balances. When one party gets too powerful, it is in my nature to vote for change. I am a strong advocate of voting for the best person who most represents your beliefs, and feel that every opinion should be considered. So with hopes of helping spread the word of someone who wrote this, here goes:
“68% will send this, should be 100%”
We the people are coming
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG,
OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS,
ONE NATION UNDER GOD,
INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
In the email, I was asked to send this on if I agree, or delete if I don’t. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in having ‘In God! We Trust’ on our money and having ‘God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance. I believe it’s time we stand up for what we believe! If you agree, pass this on, if not, delete.
