March 25, 1987: On Thursday morning we went to our last Spring Training game. The World Champion Mets against the Minnesota Twins, Tinker Field, Orlando!

For Matt’s sake- he’s a New York Met Fan- Bruce and I sat in a crowd of Met’s fans. The World Champs jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the second inning, and all the talk started. Met’s fans in our vicinity were all over the hapless Twins. Read more…

I spent the week prior to Spring Break explaining to everyone that I wasn’t going to Florida to just watch baseball; rather I was going down to learn more about the game and its culture.
