Marketing drugs should be easier to get. In my other job as professional social media, interactive strategist for a small Edina, MN based marketing company, we recently launched our first of many fun videos on You Tube.
In this one, our marketing team slapped together a comical commercial for a drug called Markenacea. It is intended to show our fellow “brothers and sisters” in arms that we understand their stress. I did not have a hand in creating the video, but I have to admit, it’s a perfect way to some up many of the work day of events that I experience.
I love my job, but somedays I do wish there was a drug like this one to help with the stress. Please share this with all your friends

Last week, on a day off with my 2-year old daughter, I dusted off the ol’ Flip Cam and decided to make a video of her picking NFL games. It was great entertainment, and made us laugh.
We posted the video on my Facebook account, and YouTube, and invited family members and friends to view it for a good laugh. Her first crack at picking the games didn’t go so well, with 5-9 record. What can one expect when she picks based on team colors and logos?
The feedback was decent, and we even had a few requests for a sequel. We had such a great time last week, that we decided to try it again this week, but this time we brought in a ringer. Her 6-year old brother joined us on this project, offering up his unique expertise & takes on the games this week. His opinions should improve the record, after all he is currently in the lead of our family’s weekly “pick em” pool with big margin over yours truly.
Without further adieu, the Sportsdaddy presents his kids, picking the games for Week 7, 2010:

“Dakota” is a song by the Welsh band Stereophonics, and was released on February 28, 2005. I like the song alot, it’s one of those underrated tunes that I found on iTunes while surfing music about my homestate South Dakota.
I realize this song has nothing to do with that flat fly over state in the cornfields, but I don’t care. It’s melodic, sounds like an 80′s tune, and it has simple but intense lyrics. It reminds me of the type of song that should be blasting out at Target Field during Twins Batting Practice, and that type of music is always stellar. Enjoy
Dakota Lyrics:
Thinking about thinking of you
Summertime think it was June
Yeah think it was June
Laying back, head on the grass
Children grown having some laughs
Yeah having some laughs.
Made me feel like the one
Made me feel like the one
The one
Made me feel like the one
Made me feel like the one
The one
Drinking back, drinking for two
Drinking with you
And drinking was new
Sleeping in the back of my car
We never went far
Needed to go far
Made me feel like the one
Made me feel like the one
The one
Made me feel like the one
Made me feel like the one
The one
I don’t know where we are going now
I don’t know where we are going now
Wake up cold coffee and juice
Remembering you
What happened to you?
I wonder if we’ll meet again
Talk about us instead
Talk about why did it end
Made me feel like the one
Made me feel like the one
The one
Made me feel like the one
Made me feel like the one
The one
I don’t know where we are going now
I don’t know where we are going now

Okay, you’ve seen them tailgating at the Metrodome, and wearing the “I only Kiss Twins fans” t-shirts at Target Field. You betcha, they are Minnesota Girls, and finally there is video on You Tube that shows them being Minnesota Nice.
The song seems to capture their essence, and it’s worth viewing, It’s funny, it’s real, and it’s simple. Most important it’s humble and as fun as a Minnesota Girl. Get to know em:

I graduated High School in 1983. I know I am aging myself, but I don’t care. I am going to start putting up videos of some the classic music we had the privilege to listen to at High School dances in the gymnasiums around the country.
We had fun, so deal with it. I’ll start this off with a classic:
