History of the VikingsTailgate.com Beer Spiller List

The Traditional Berserker Beer Spilling List started after the 1998 season when created a list of NFL players that we wanted to “hex” for the ’99 season. If you’ll recall, the Vikings choked in the NFC Championship that season, and we were sure that some Atlanta Fan had put a curse on the Vikings kicker Gary Anderson for that game.

Determined to never let that happen again, we vowed that we would hex other teams players and render them useless in the big games by creating a “Beer Spilling List” for NFL players who we most hated. Given the chance, we would dump a nice cold beer on these players with hopes of “taking them out of their game.”

The Beer Spiller’s list gained notoriety in 2000, when the Star & Tribune noted it as a unique feature on one of the many Vikings dedicated websites.

The Official People We’d Like to Dump a Beer on Hall of Fame

The list grows each year, as we take nominations and vote as needed. Once we get enough evidence on some NFL dork, (usually from another team other than the Vikings) we add them to Official Beer Spiller Hall of Fame.
